Content

Lesson 1. Sunrise on the lake.

First of all, we will find ourselves in front of a completely amazing landscape: the sun is about to rise from behind the distant mountains shrouded in haze, and an old ship calmly stands on the sea surface, casting interesting highlights. And the birds are circling over the water.

Features of the lesson:

In this tutorial, we will learn how to render reflections from an object on the water, as well as create a contrast between a smoky background and a foreground with focus on it.

Already from the first picture you will understand how to convey the effect of soft sunlight, glare and water gradient.

Lesson 2. Boat in port in Malaga.

We are going to the south of Spain: to the port city - Malaga! There are many boats, and we find an interesting angle on one of them.

Features of the lesson:

In this one we will build an interesting perspective, find the optimal level of detail, and masterfully depict the transparency of the water and the shadow of the boat on it.

Lesson 3. El Port de la Selva.

Another picturesque place in Spain! A calmer shade, a simpler boat - spirit of the sea can be so different, right?

Features of the lesson:

To effectively generalize the background, to present it even a little abstract - we will learn such a creative approach here. And pass the water again, this time you can even see the bottom.

Lesson 4. Sails in the sunshine.

Sun! Sea! How nice it is to draw such scenes, 100% immersion. Our final lesson is admiring the play of the sun's color in the sails, glare on the waves.

Features of the lesson:

The main feature is that we will learn how to depict a bright light! In this case, this is the sun in the gap between the sails and its flicker in the reflection.

You have long dreamed of drawing a "light" sunny watercolor?

Do you want to stop being afraid of failure?

Ready to surrender to the flow of watercolor and master it?
