In this lesson we’ll get acquainted with a new painting material: alcohol-based
markers and learn the main principles of marker painting.
Lesson 1. A cozy breakfast.
A nice morning should start with a cozy breakfast!
We’ll paint a delicious marker still life and you will learn how to depict food so that it looks yummy and fresh! We practice main techniques of marker painting.
Lesson 2. Delicious lunch.
For lunch we’ll have golden brown salmon steak with fresh vegetables.
In this lesson we learn about hue and paint a spectacular food illustration.
Lesson 3. Blueberry dessert.
How can you refuse such a tempting dessert? Especially when marker calories won’t harm us at all!
We will paint a blueberry dessert and learn how to paint glass.
Lesson 4. Fragrant tea.
Even if you are already full, it’s high time for a nice cup of tea.
We’ll paint this pot of delicious fragrant tea and learn how to paint sun-lit objects, study main principles of depicting light in a painting.

List of supplies:
● a sketchbook (Canson “the wall” or just copy paper);
● a watercolor sketchbook (optional);
● several sheets of copy paper to make sketch or put under the sketchbook paper;
● a pencil (2B or HB);
● rubber or kneaded eraser;
● white gel pen;
● Copic multiliner or Faber-Castel Pitt artist pen – optional.
Markers
I use Copic Sketch markers. Any alcohol-based markers will do (TOUCH, SketchMarker, Winsor&Newton, Promarker…
A set of 24 markers is desirable.
Desirable colors: several grey ones (C1, C3, C5, C7 or N1, N3, N7…)
several beige-brown ones (E51, E21, E33, E47).
