We will open our sketchbooks and plunge into wonderful romantic atmosphere of Provence.

We’ll paint a cozy street in small town Avignon and learn how to portray bright sunshine.

We will stay in a miraculous old house in Southern France. We learn how to make watercolor washes: wet on wet and wet on dry techniques.

We find ourselves in an amazing lavender field and enjoy its scent, sounds and

beauty! We learn how to paint a watercolor landscape.

Terracotta town Roussillon. Lesson 4


We will visit an astonishing terracotta town Roussillon.

  • Professional set of 16 colors or more (White Night, Schmincke, W&N, Daniel Smith, QOR, Mijello...). Preferably in tubes.

  • A pencil (2B/HB)
  • An eraser
  • A flat soft paint brush 20-25 mm. made from any natural material (pony, goat, cows, etc.) OR A round brush («Белка», 8-10 mm)
  • A natural round brush (kolonok, 5-6 mm) with a thin tip
  • Watercolour paper A3, grain fin, 300 grams, 100% cotton (Arches, Clairefontaine, Fabriano)
